SoVery Autumn

What is your favorite season?Β

Oh My Goodness, y’all!! So now that I’ve started the blog, I just want to share so much with you! Β I’m hoping I don’t bore you to death.

Today was an adventure! Maybe it’s really because I’ve been a little on the lazy side this week. Β Maybe not lazy, I mean I worked on my website….but non social, hermit like. Β Today was the first day I left the house all week unless frantically running out to put the trash can counts. In that case, I technically left the house yesterday for just a bit. Β So, my beautiful neighbor invited me to ride along with her this morning. Β It was probably out of pity or maybe out of concern, but either way, she let me tag along. Β The entire ride I could not help but notice the BEAUTY of fall!! Β Fall is my favorite season, even back home. Β Today it is in full display here.

After she dropped me back off at home, I figured I better go to the grocery store and actually prepare a meal today since I’ve been saying all week that I would but have instead heated up left overs. Β I almost let myself get stuck in the house again trying to figure out WHAT to have, but decided to head out and hope for inspiration along the way.

I could hardly make it to the store just from stopping and taking in all the beautiful scenery. Β I walked that same path every day last week, but today it was like walking a whole new path. Β I took several pictures, which I will include, but it just does not do it justice. Β Warning: they are taken with my iPhone 5SE. Yes I still have a 5.

The contrast of the colors, the bright green fields, the beautiful blue sky, the hills in the back ground all just made for such a beautiful walk.

I did finally make it to the grocery store and was inspired by the red and yellow peppers to make stuffed bell peppers. Β I thought I’d stuff them with a mix that included Ricotta cheese since we are currently not eating rice. Β I looked all over the cheese section for Ricotta cheese. Β Mozzarella cheese is Mozzarella here. Feta cheese is Feta here. Β I even texted my amazing friend back home who is from Germany to ask her. Lucia confirmed that Ricotta is Ricotta. Β I tried asking some folks in the store, but of course they didn’t speak English. (By the way, that whole, “Don’t worry, everyone speaks english there.” thing is not really true. If they DO in fact speak it, they don’t always dmit to it.) Anyway, eventually someone helped me look for it and apparently my little Lidl doesn’t have Ricotta cheese, or at least it didn’t today. Β Anyway, I got my things, checked out (I feel the need to include that for my friend Heather), and headed home.

It was even more beautiful Β on the way home because the sun was shining brighter!! Β This one tree was just amazing. Β I’m sure if anyone was watching me, they have decided I’m crazy. I stopped, laid down under the tree and did my very best to capture it for everyone who couldn’t be there.

So this was my adventure today. Β Now I need to make the stuffing for the peppers withOUT Ricotta cheese.Β SoVery Adventurous

  3. I tried desperately to learn German while there. Instead, everyone wanted to learn and improve their English. So, I taught English as a second language. Loved Autum there but winter and Christmas in Germany was beautiful! Enjoy!

    1. I have to commit to learning it!!! I really need to! I’m excited about Christmas, but not as excited about winter. 😬 I’m sure I will still enjoy it even though cold weather is NOT my thing. πŸ˜ƒ
